Verified ReviewerI just called Pergo Customer Service “A Waste of Time”
I just called customer service asking a simple question about one model of laminate (Outlast to Element Ultra). All I got was zero information from this woman.
I asked about a specific color from one to another. The answer was to go to our website and look. Next, I asked if you have the same board size from one to the other. Ohhhh, you will have to go to the website and see for yourself!
WTF did I call you for, I asked? I have patience talking to people, but zero for when you don’t know anything. Telling me it's not her job to look and see any of my questions. Hahahaha.
I said, why did I call customer service again, and why don’t you know anything about your products being customer service? Sad world we live in when someone in customer service doesn’t have a clue and tells me it's my job to go to the website and look.
Sad world, and if that woman reads this review, you need a different job for sure. Maybe sell flowers in a florist.

Verified Reviewer |Bad flooring
They have not contacted me at all since they told me it was my fault not theirs.
It did not do either. They are refusing to do anything about my problem. It has a chip in it that appeared from nowhere for some reason . The floor is dull, It is supposed to be black and it looks Gray it's so dull.
I have a scratch from a stool it is not supposed to scratch according to description. This all happened within months within 6 months. They refused to do anything about it. I reopened the case after they closed it once and and they still refuse to do anything about it.
I cannot afford to put another floor down unless they reimburse me. They have had bad batches before, I think this is one of them. They will not help me at all.
Even if they just reimbursed me for what I spent I would try to do it myself. It is so stressful to have to look at this floor everyday.
- No pros at all
- Sheen wears off quickly product becomes porous
- It is such poor quality
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Stay away from pergo and mohawk. Look Mohawk in pergo up they own floor tile wall tiles everything don't trust them or their warranties.

Verified ReviewerDefective Pergo Portfolio Flooring
Mohawk denied my claim. Stating there was no signs of defects in my flooring. I submitted pictures, they just blew me off.
This happened on at least 40 boards. We have had no water damage upstairs, my wife and I do not even bring liquids upstairs. I filed a claim with Pergo through Lowes as recommended. A representative came out from Mohawk, took several readings and pictures and denied my claim, stating they see no defects.
Its so obvious the boards are defective, Mohawk just gave me a big *** you . I dont understand, I followed all manufacturers instructions. They do not stand by their product, customer service is a joke, it cost me over$2,000.00 to do it myself. Now its failing and has to be replaced, its getting worse.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE.
MAIN REASON BEING THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMER. IF THEY STOOD BY THEIR PRODUCT I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW.

Verified ReviewerWood Laminate splitting from under side after less than 6 months
Still Open - never heard from anyone
Less than 6 months in - the wood part is splitting from the bottom section. Pergo says it's because of what we clean up urine when our dogs have an accident. We use a urine neutralizer and wipe and dry it right away. Also, we clean the floor as directed with water and vinegar.
Pergo has said they will not stand by their warranty of this product. The sales person from local business should have told us that Pergo does not stand behind it's product and is not appropriate if the house has pets. It should be a precautionary listing on their displays - in bit bold Red Letters.
Very Very disappointed. Our $5,000.00
User's recommendation: Do not buy Pergo or Mohawk Flooring - they do not stand behind their products.

Verified ReviewerTop coating-shine has deteriorated each year despite only using recommended cleaning solution
I've called the company and they offered no solutions. They could not even recommend a particular cleaning applicator.
They had not other information about cleaning the floor other than vinegar or ammonia with distilled water. Shame on them.
Over the years, it gets harder and harder to nearly impossible to clean the flooring. The sheen has faded and after I clean it, it shows smudges, streaks, and looks as if it was never cleaned. I use a microfiber applicator. I use the recommended white vinegar-distilled water solution.
Our flooring is not in full sun. We use a soft roller floor vacuum or Swiffer floor duster. We do not wear shoes in the house. Neither do guests.
I have called them asking what type of applicator to use and they don't have a preference. After all these decades they have not developed a special cleaner or wax. I recently asked about Mohawk's Essentials floor cleaner and they did not recommend it. I have gotten on my hands and knees and wiped the floor down with the soft side of a hand towel and once it dries it looks like it was never cleaned.
The floor shows spots, smudges, and doesn't look clean no matter how many times I clean it. It's as if the coating has worn down and now it's down to the porous area. It doesn't make sense to me to use vinegar and water when I read that you can remove paint with a vinegar solution. I once tried the ammonia solution Pergo recommends and it was a disaster.
I was told by Pergo that the top layer is plastic. Well, it must be a very thin coating because this floor has become porous and it's dulling. I am extremely disappointed. I paid for Home Depot install.
It wasn't cheap even with a 10% discount. I got the XP for the better quality and it didn't hold up to its name. I just made a call to HD customer service to see what can be done. I'm at the point that if nothing is done, I will slop on a coating of polyurethane as with hardwood on some leftover pieces and see what happens.
Otherwise I will be tearing this up and laying down something more durable. Not sure what since things seem to be made cheaply. This is a lesson learned. Don't buy this stuff (laminate) no matter what they tell you.
It does not last even if you buy the high end stuff. I'm sorry now I didn't pay extra for hardwood. At least I could control the sheen it would be better quality. I would not recommend Pergo laminate.
I don't think any laminate is worth getting. Go with something you can clean with more options than only vinegar or ammonia with distilled water.
If any of you hear of a new class action lawsuit, please post it here. It looks like there was one decades ago which leaves out most of us.

Need to purchase weatherdale pine but it's been discontinued
I have purchased 17 boxes of pergo XP weatherdale pine from home Depot over the last couple of years. I finally have enough money to buy the last 22 boxes or so and I just find out it's discontinued.
Can you find me any boxes of weatherdale pine in an outlet or somewhere in a back office warehouse?? something? somewhere? Other choice would be, is there a color that is similar that's almost the same color that I can maybe mix in with the weatherdale pine.
Would I be able to possibly return all my boxes of weatherdale pine to get something that's in stock.
I don't even think I have kept any of the receipts. Please email me back and let me know my options thank you, Diana Duane

Verified Reviewer |POOR QUALITY--POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
This was sold as a premium product thru Home Depot which turns out not to be true. After installing about 1200 feet of this in a living room, family room, kitchen.
1/2 bath, dining room and hallway it has seperated in some areas. It is not a easy installation as they advertise. I installed this myself with the assistance of a flooring pro so I am confident the install is correct as verified by flooring installers who have looked at it. In addition Pergo customer service will not discuss it as they say I have to deal with Home Depot.
I wish I had seen the negative reviews before I purchased the product or I would have purchased another brand. The warranty printed on the package is worthless.
